Braised Crab in Tomato Sauce
Serving suggestion
A good way to just cook the meat you get from a crab.
Ingredients
Crabs 900g
3 slices of pineapples
2 tomatoes
2
1 onion
1 green bell pepper
1 chilli
2 tsp chopped garlic
Seasoning
3 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp hot soya bean paste
2 tsp light soya sauce
1 ½ tsp sugar
¾ cup pineapple juice
a few shakes of pepper
Cooking method
1 - Dissect crabs, rinse thoroughly and chop them into chunks. Steam crabs till done.
2 - Chop pineapple, tomatoes, onion and pepper into pieces. Cut chilli into rings.
3 - Heat 2 tbsp oil to sauté onion till tender, add chopped garlic and tomato chunks.
4 - Add seasonings to ingredients and cook till sauce are chunky, then put in crabs and braise for a while.
5 - Add remaining ingredients to pan and stir well. Dish up and serve.
